Céad Mile Fáilte

A thousand welcomesMary Gavin With a Ling 19lbs

Welcome to my my new site for sea fishing on the West Coast of Ireland.

Did you know the first historical evidence of mankind using hooks to catch fish date back almost 40,000 years. The first primitive fishing hooks were probably made from wood or bone.

Today it has become a hobby for many men and women who seek the dream of the ultimate catch.

Clewbay on the Coast of Ireland is open to the great Alantic Ocean with many Species of fish the most notable of these is the largest member of the skate family the common skate which is protected under conservation. To date I have several times been the recipient of central fisheries board conservation award for my conservation efforts in this field.

As for me myself have grew up on the sea but there is more information about that on my biography page.

Warm Regards

Mary
